To Adam. With Love, Elizabeth

My Dearest Adam:

I just wanted to add this special post for one special guy because after reading my recap below, I don't think I did you justice. I started getting on the Gokey Express and began feeling myself to be a little bit of a traitor.

Also, I went back and re-watched you over my lunch break and realized the true genius behind your "Feeling Good" performance. You clearly took your rendition from Muse, but that just proves your genius even more (taking an old jazz standard and finding how it relates today). No question about it, you possess that rare "It" factor.

Every once in a while, a true star comes along, and we are fortunate enough just to witness it. From the moment you ascended those hot pink stairs, perfectly timing every foot step to those delicate beats of the song, to that end note that could have shattered roof tops (in a good way), I feel like whenever you are finished, it's like we have just seen history in the making. And your MODESTY! Oh my. Sorry. Just had to pay you my ever-present allegiance. (I know you will forgive me, Adam. Kisses.)

-Your number one Glambert, Elizabeth

From what little I know of Adam, I'm quite sure he'd be delighted in your support of Danny and any of the Idols - He's a gentleman and, above all, a pro.

I agree - we are fortunate to witness the birth of this Star. My Grandmother witnessed the birth of Elvis - I will tell my Grandchildren I witnessed the "birth" of Adam.

You need to get back on the Danny Gokey express! I think he has way better vocals!!! Adam is good but at times he just sounds like he is screaming. Danny has a much better voice all around! His voice sounds awesome hi and low ! Go Danny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I am a Glambertini and proud of it. Sometimes the extent of the Adam obsession scares me... but like Kara put it, scared "in a good way".

  5. is it bad that i have had a total three dreams involving adam in the past two weeks? . . . i'm just sayin.

American Idol: Rat Pack Night "Sways" My Opinions

Well our Top 5 performed the Rat Pack Standards last night, and when it was all said and done, I must say . . . I felt a little swayed. I have to use the word "swayed," first of all, because it's my clever pun on a popular song during the Rat Pack era; and secondly, because the night didn't make me into a full-blown convert -- it simply swayed me, like a gentle yet confused little branch blowing in the wind, unsure if it wants to waver on back to the safe side of "Adam & Simon," or dare to venture and possibly snap on over to the unfamiliar side of "Danny & Kara."

Sway Factor #1: Jamie Foxx is a rockin' mentor! Who ever would have thought that Mr. Foxx would mentor Rat Pack night?! Turns out, he did a kick ass job! Getting all up in Danny Gokey's grill, refusing to let "D" (nickname compliments of Mr. Foxx) detour from his emotions. Channeling "Field of Dreams" and telling Matt Giraud, "if you change the ke…

American Idol Inspirational Song Night: Crystal Bowersox Cries. I Finally Feel Something. (Recap)

Considering I kept busy on my computer all the while Idol played out tonight on my TV screen, only giving the occasional glance up to notice that Lee Dewyze got his hairs cut, Kara got her hairs styled in a flattering manner that I can't quite put my finger on as to why they were so flattering and Simon's buzz cut looked especially unflattering ... I guess you could say it was all one big unnoticeable snooze fest until Crystal "Mamasox" Bowersox took the stage. So really, all I care about commenting on is her for now.

Wicked Mic Stands and Wet Eyes: Now I don't know if Crystal got overly wrapped up in the spirit of today's date, but someone should have told her pot paraphernalia is not allowed on the Idol stage. Oh, I keed. I keed. Crystal's extraordinary mic stand was made from an old lamp with which she always used to perform in her pre-Idol days. Could that sentimentality be what brought on her sudden outburst of tears at the end of her emotional "…

It's a Crystal / Lee Finale ... And I'm Alright.

(Bye little, Casey.  Hey, we'll always have "Jealous Guy")
I'm alright
Nobody worry 'bout me
The end is now in sight
Will it be Crystal or that damn sexy Lee?

Yes, folks.  Don't worry about me.  I am still alive.  I just haven't been posting as regularly because I've been waiting to be moved again.  And if those hometown visits last night didn't get you a little misty eyed, well then may I suggest you check your pulse.

In what was probably the most predicted elimination, we said goodbye to that Cool Texan, Casey James, leaving us with the two most deserving contestants of season 9:  Crystal "Mamasox" Bowersox and Lee "You Can Mix My Paint Any Ol' Time" DeWyze.  And while I have always thought Mamasox would wind up with the win, I find myself pulling for Lee.  But (unlike last season), I can honestly say that I'm alright with either.  (And I think most people would agree.)

Lee's hometown visit ... well, let's just …
